We are lucky enough to have 4 chickens at our school and we would love for you to meet them.
I love rocking my black & white spots and I am predominantly grey in colour
You can’t miss me in the yard, I am the only full brown chicken at WaSPS
I like keeping the other chickens on their toes and I have a white body with a black tail
Named after the clothing brand, I like to consider myself a pretty stylish chicken with my white body and black spots running up my neck
These chickens are free to roam our school playground. They don’t worry too much about the students playing or the noise they make. The environmental captains Cooper and Thomas have the important role of ensuring the chickens are locked up safely every day. Students also have the opportunity to collect eggs, which they think is egg-cellent!!!
These chickens play an important role in keeping our school sustainable and environmentally friendly. Raising chickens is a great way to teach children about where food comes from, as well as encouraging responsibility and nurturing skills.
